AWL Toolworks

WONT BE MAKING TOOLS ANYTIME SOON…

Located in the Taconic Mountains of Eastern New York, AWL Toolworks is looking forward to providing woodworkers with finely crafted tools, produced one piece at a time. The outcomes are solidly built tools, precise within the tolerances of machinists, and are as visually pleasing as they are usable. They want to be a part of your everyday kit.

With a focus on infill hand planes (heavy, strong, with crisp angles), marking gauges, scribes, awls (….), small mallets, weighty ball-peen hammers, wood turning tool handles, replacement fasteners for vintage tools, and turning accessories for South Bend 9 lathes (the shop workhorse), AWL Toolworks aims to offer something for all levels of craftsman and tool gatherers.

AWL Toolworks is excited about working with each maker to add their own custom touch to every piece upon request; from material selection (stainless steel, brass, and maple are the default, good luck rust) to specific angles and sizes, and even their own fully original designs that have never made it past paper (those little gauges for that one thing you do sometimes).

Enjoy.
